Journal Entry To Kill A Mockingbird in jems Perspective

Dear diary,

Tomorrow is the first time that Scout is going to school to learn. I wonder what kinds of thing will happen to her. Will she get bullied? Will the teacher treat her unfairly..? I am just really worried about her first day at school. Since she is so looking forward to this day. I had to send her to school on the first day. After noon, she is start to complaining. She complains about the teacher making her stand in the corner, and slapping her hand with a ruler. She then complains about Miss Caroline scolding her about her reading. She says she knows how to read, but the teacher thinks its bad for her.. I think Miss Caroline is just using another technique of teaching perhaps.....?

Poetic response to "The Metaphor".

Miss Hancock,
Why would you give up your precious life?
I know it was hard teaching with older people,
but you shouldn't have let them laugh at you.
I'm sorry I didn't talk to you,
or cheer you up.
You were always like a mother figure,
caring and adoring me.
I always think of you when I take a shower,
I write metaphors when I take a bath.
The knowledge you have taught me,
is priceless.
You will always be the strong Miss Hancock
in my heart.
I'm sorry.
